A Ride in The Express Lane
Sex, this was the topic in the Russel Union Theatre for students who attended a show called Express Lane at 7:00 p.m. on March 26, 2009. The first talk show in Georgia Southern’s history. The Host was James Camper a sophomore at GSU.
There were four students on stage to answering questions about having sex in college and in general. Equal female and male perspectives were represented by the show. The student’s shared a variety of sexual experiences with the opposite sex.
Topics ranged from virgins to the double standard that women face when having sex. A large amount of time was taken up by what the definition of a virgin is. Webster’s dictionary says a virgin is “an unmarried woman devoted to religion.”
Kristen Crowder a Senior Georgia Southern and a student panelist said, “A virgin is a woman who still has her hymen, but the hymen can also be broken by a tampon.” The students who spoke from the audience considered participating in oral sex to be the time when you lost your virginity.
With a live T.V. audience there were performances between each one of the segments. Step teams, poets, solo song artist all performed while the filming of the show was taking place. Although the show contained a variety of opinions about sex it was aimed at the younger students of Georgia Southern.
The message that the show Express Lane wanted to get across was made clear by the Host James Campers closing remark, “Semen should be kept in a box inside of us and not let out just for anyone.” To find out more about the topics and Location of the show send an email to express_lane@ymail.com.

Poor. Needs more multimedia content. Take pictures; don't just scan the poster.
Phrasing and organization awkward.
