Rebuild Your Spring Break Bank Account

Statesboro, Ga.- Last week, many college 'sprink breakers' drowned away their bank accounts in a sea of booze and gas money, only to be left penniless on their return to Statesboro.

With six weeks of the spring semester left and a couple months worth of bills remaining, it is hard to make ends meet without a job, especially after spending your hard earned funds on a week of debotchery.

If you are one of the unlucky college students who cannot find a job, regardless of how many fast food applications you have filled out, stay tuned for some ideas on how you can earn money around town without being on a payroll.

Believe it or not, students are not the only inhabitants of Statesboro. Families with young children live here too, which means babysitters are in demand. Babysitting is a great way to earn cash, and you can play with cute kids.

Another way to gain back funds is to assist the elderly with yard work. Let's face it, the grass is growing and the weeds are sprouting, so spare our elders from throwing out their backs, and do the work for them (for pay of course).

If you're really desperate for cash, you could suck it up and clean homes. House cleaning may be dirty work, but the price for cleaning one home will surely cover your power bill.

The last tip for filling your pockets back up is selling your old clothes. Stores such as Platos Closet and some consignment boutiques will give you cash for your gently used clothing.

Whether you are interested in babysitting, doing yard work, or house cleaning, consider putting up fliers around town or advertising in a local newspaper. With luck, you will receive work and your spring break money blues will fade away.
