MELLOW MUSHROOM: THE CONCLUSION
The new Mellow Mushroom's grand opening is now a thing of the past, and Statesboro is now free to enjoy it whenever they please. Since the opening several weeks ago, the restaurant has had lines out the door every night. I guess the "Boro" is one big satisfied customer.

Mellow Mushroom employees,(left to right), Lucy Guest, 22, Coury Christy, 27, Kara Amerein, 21, Jenny Pippen, 21, and Lori Holland, 18, all stand ready to aid customers at the new location in Statesboro, GA. These young ladies are only a piece of the staff that provides great service every night of the week.
The menu is spectacular from start to finish. The appetizers are amazing, especially the bruschetta which is made with fresh organic tomatoes and delicious feta cheese. The pizza is made with the freshest ingredients and the taste proves that perfectly. Mellow Mushroom also serves up a calzone that will have your taste buds singing.
Typically, a new restaurant like Mellow Mushroom would have you expecting mediocre service because the staff is entirely new and not used to the swing of things yet. This is not the case for this place. The service is unbelievable, and stays that way whether there is an hour wait or if it's 3p.m. on a Tuesday.
Since experiencing the Mellow Mushroom of Statesboro after it grand opening, there is only one word to say; fantastic. The Mushroom is a great place to take the family, a date or just friends, and is open for lunch at 11a.m. Monday thru Sunday closing at 10p.m. Thursday through Saturday is the exception because the restaurant stays open to about 1 a.m. It is located in Statesboro's Market District Shopping Center.
