My First Amendment Rights are Gone
On Thursday April 24 the first Amendments of everyone would be taken away across from the biology building at Georgia Southern. The Office of Student Media would be hosting the First Amendment festival that would start at 11 a.m. and end at 1p.m.

Daniel White Rugby Enforcer
“God bless American and I enjoyed being an enforcer for the first Amendment festival, said Daniel White Georgia southern student and rugby player. The Office of student Media approached the rugby team to be there First Amendment enforcers for the festival. To make it seem like they were really serious about keeping up the rules, some people were staged to be kicked out of the festival.
Students signing away their First Amendment Rights
All of the students who attended the festival did not feel the same way as the enforcers. “They made me take off my hat, because they said it was advertising. I fucking hated that,” said David Zaremba PR Major and Senior at Georgia Southern. Some students did not know what there First Amendment rights were and this was a healthy reminder..

Heidi Forehand Keeping guard
Not all students hated the festival, some felt lucky to live in a place where these rights were permitted for them to have. “Our founding Fathers worked hard for us to have these rights and not having them today was not fair,” said Phillip Merrell a freshman at Georgia Southern. “This vent was intended to demonstrate the most fundamental of your constitutional rights. Hopefully by being stripped of them, you may better appreciate these sometimes-forgotten rights.” Said GSU Student Media in a statement given to everyone who entered the festival..
