Theboronews.com is the official news website of the Online Journalism Class taught at Georgia Southern University at Statesboro, Ga. The site was officially lauched in the Spring of 2006 by Dr. Dharma Adhikari when the first online journalism course was offered at the GSU. The website serves as a live publishing platform for students even as they learn the principles and practices of online journalism.

Students use multimedia content-- text, hyperlinks, animation and audio, video, etc. -- to report and write their stories. They also compose blogs to share their unique perspectives with the world.

Students cover news events in and around Georgia Southern University and Statesboro. They also write feature stories of compelling issues, problems and trends. Students also profile important and interesting people, places, and institutions. Above all, they investigate significant topics and issues and write special reports.
